Abstract
During this discussion, the topic of sports and their effect on professional athletes is researched and deliberated. As a sports journalist (my major), my job is to observe and adapt to the ever-changing ways of professional sports. The goal of this study is to observe how sports affect professional athlete's brains compared to just regular athletes. How is their mindset different? What do they do differently to prepare for a game or to stay healthy? Within the interests of this study, it is hoped a conclusion is found and the results show an advantage or disadvantage. In an article published by Timothy T. Craig, a sports psychiatrist, a study was conducted on some athletes. Elite sports competition may be regarded as the 'brain's biggest challenge'. Now, there will be different discussions on a professional athlete's discourse community.
